Solar Boat and Car Challenge
These are the main parts to make the solar boat and car. Please click the arrows with each picture to scroll through the design of the piece. Thanks for looking and remember you can click on the pictures to enlarge them.
Propeller
This propeller was designed by Jenna Menapace. We had two, one on each side of the boat.
Wheels
These wheels were designed by R.J. Shirey. We used four wheels in our design. The first picture was our first go at the wheel. We later changed to monster truck wheels.
Solar Panel Support
Picture 1- This solar panel support was designed by me. It was used to hold up the solar panel.
Picture 2 and 3- This was the way our group decided to hold up our solar panel. It was designed by me.
Battery Holder
This was originally going to be our motor holder. We changed the motor holder design to better fit our car and boat. It was the perfect fit for the battery. This part was designed by Jenna Menapace.
L-Shape Solar Panel Holder
These L-Shapes were designed to hold the solar panel in place. They were designed by me.
Axle Holder
This part was designed by all of us. We used it to hold the axles for our car design.
Motor Holder
This motor holder was given to the class as a design we could use. We tried our own design but this one was more effective for our needs.
